COMBINATION UNITS - BS3198: 1981

Albion combination units offer traditional open vented stored hot water in either direct, indirect or single feed patterns. The full British Standard range is available, other sizes can be made to requirement.
By storing the cold supply, tanks can be taken from the loft space. Installation is made simpler without the need to run pipes to and from the cold cistern.

BS3198:1981

MATERIALS

Shell all copper to BS 2870 with zinc free brazing alloy.
Tubes to BS EN 1057.
Aluminium close fitted lid.

TAPPINGS

Three male or female up to 1".
Immersion Heater Boss 2 1/4".
Drain Boss 1/2" female.
All sizes comply with BS 1566:2002 and are kitemarked

AQUAPACK UNITS

Complete integrated units constructed on a steel frame with all interconnecting pipework.
These are available as direct, indirect and Maxistore pattern units.
The cold tank is a black polythene cistern conforming to WRc requirements and all ancillary fittings conform to relevant standards.

Cold tank capacities are available as follows -

Indirect cisterns have an integrated feed and expansion tank for primary circuits.

Heights are given for 50 gallon cold, direct cylinders. All other types are within these dimensions.

Aquapack units combine a cold feed tank with either a direct or indirect Albion grade 3 copper cylinder.

A steel frame supports the tank.

The cold feed 227 litre polythene cistern must comply with model byelaw 30 when fitted.
All copper tube and fittings comply with the relevant British Standards.
